Negativland Interviews U2’s The Edge : « In August of 1991, SST Records released an overpriced single by Negativland called U2, featuring snippets of U2 recordings, shocking outtakes of Casey Kasem’s American Top 40, and a mangled version of U2’s song « I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For. » Shortly after the release, Island Records filed suit against Negativland and SST over copyright infringement and deceptive packaging (the cover featured the letter ‘U’ and the numeral ‘2’ in huge type). Yet her third album Extraordinary Machine sits in limbo, despite being completed in 2003. Apparently Apple’s label Sony/Epic decided not to release the album due to the high costs involved in promoting it. »

Et moi qui ait toujours cru que Guided By Voice était un nom de groupe de groove/r’n’b/soul! Sinon, je confirme, « A Ghost Is Born » de Wilco est excelllent (j’ai particulièrement aimé la chanson « Spiders (Kidsmoke) ». Interpol, bon premier album mais le second m’a moins accroché. Brian Wilson, j’aimerai bien choper son SMiLE. Modest Mouse, j’ai acheté Moon & Antartica à l’époque, mmmbof ‘faudrait que je le réécoute. Calexico, très bien leur dernier album, « Feast of Wire ». The Strokes, premier album bon, second pas assez différent, et dommage : m’a chanson préférée de l’album a été aussitôt reprise dans une pub. Elliott Smith, RIP, grosse perte, mais ça touchera moins le grand public que Jeff Buckley.
Bref bref bref… Je vais consulter tout cela.

Voilà, j’écoute son album une fois pendant mon trajet quotidien, et j’ai ce refrain qui me trotte dans la tête depuis deux jours. C’est malin.
Moi, j’aimerais un film en Super-8
